I’m rendering a number of 1min long clips as pal DV 720×576 .AVIS.

I did some the other day and the file length was around 250megs. Now I did an almost similar file and it was 2.31 gigs. Now I didn’t chnage any of my setting. The render was default uncompressed Video for Windows (.avi) as good setting.

Any idea why the huge file size. I even rerender one of the ones I did and the new render when from 230 to 2.5 gigs.. 2+gigs for 1 min of DV sounds very wrong.

    Thanks

Sounds like your small renders were actually DV-AVI format.
    DV-AVI is approx. 13.5 GB/hr. while uncompressed is approx. 100 GB/hr.
