Finishing up a 9 minute piece and having trouble with DVD Architech handling my audio. When the program is loaded into Arch the audio starts playing fine and then goes silent. After that it just gets skips and plays tiny bits of audio after that. The mpeg and audio play fine in Windows movie player of if loaded back into Vegas. The problem doen’s occur until the audio hits DVD ARch. I’ve rendered the progran a few different times but with the same results..

I gave a copy of the show to my client yesterday…and this version just had a couple revisions. Yesterday’s show rendered fine but today I have trouble.

The audio is just three or four music tracks. I usually render a MainSource mpeg and include the audio and it works fine. After having this problem I poked around on the Cow and found Ed T’s article that talks about rendering a seperate wav file so I tried that approach but had the same result.

BTW…I have not installed my V8 yet so this is still V7.0d and DVDArch 4.0. any ideas where to look to fix this problem?

    Thanks….

I took a break for dinner while I set the show to render again. While eating I thought of a workaround…

Print to tape…then burn the tape to a DVD via a standalone burner. That should work.

Came back to the shop…and tried the new render in DVDA before the print to tape routine. This render worked beautifully. No changes in the workflow…I have no idea why it worked this time but not earlier today.

What a waste of a day…but at least it worked. I’m going home, now.
