  Weird Dropout frames on Vegas 5.0

  I have a problem guys. First off I use and LOVE THE HELL out of Sony Vegas. Been sticking with 5.0 cause I got all my settings right and everything. However lately I’ve had a problem dropping footage into it.
  Tonight I tried to drop footage in for a new short film and every time I got MASSIVE dropped frames. I’m talking 120+ for about a minute of film. My DVX-100a is working fine. I tried going to another firewire port and still the same thing. A different firewire cord STILL the same thing. Changed about every option on the new project list…STILL the same thing. Thought maybe it was a problem with the firewire card as I have dropped footage into the computer in Vegas on this and other cameras fine into Vegas. Nothing. So on a last chance shot I dropped the footage into Nerovison. Guess what….it WORKED. No drop out and no problems. I imported the files to Vegas and they are reading fine with no problems and no drop out there either.
  Now I can get through this little short no big deal. I only have 20 minutes left to drop in by way of Nero but what’s going on here? Do you guys have ANY ideas as to what is causing this? Especially since a couple months ago it was taking footage just fine but the past few weeks…NOTHING!!! Thanks for having a wonderful post guys and I hope you can help…you usually do.
