  full frame rate playback?

  When selecting a video clip in the explorer window with auto preview set, the video cip plays back at 29.97. When I drop the clip on the timeline it plays back at about 22fps. The project settings are correct, the res is set to preview auto. I have had this trouble ever since going from 7 to 8 pro. Why did the preview fps’s get worse? Or am I overlooking something? also this is a quad core versus old dual core in 7 so it should be better.(sd 720 x 480 29.97 DV)

  Just for grins, try setting preview quality to
  preview full.

  Sometimes I get better framerates in preview-full.
