I’m having trouble with caustics in After Effects.

I’m researching the Caustics / Wave World effects, and what their capabilities in After Effects are. I’ve looked at Jim Tierney’s tutorial on this site, amongst others, and realise how Fractal Noise and Wave World can be used. But I was wondering if it’s possible to make the water look like it’s flowing (using Caustics), like a stream?

    Thanks!

Not really. Caustics is not a particle system that emulates anything that “flows.” You create your flowing water and then apply Caustics to your flowing water move to make it look more real.
