  Newbie problem

  Lost my keyframe strip from the bottom of the Video Event FX
  window. Dont know how. Is there a place to turn that
  back on?

  It’s not lost, you’ve likely just dragged elements of the FX dialog to cover it.
  Place your cursor over the horizontal bar/strip near the bottom of the FX dialog, click/drag upwards. You’ll see your timeline once again.
