I have done many projects like this without any problems BUT….

I created a 30min video in V7d. Used lots of color correction and some speed changes. Timeline plays flawlessly in Vegas. Rendered out to MPG2 (will be going to DVD) using my normal template (Main Concept DVDA video stream and separate AC3 file) Created xxx.mpg file. When I played the file back to check it it played back in fast forward (maybe 5x?) Could not get it to slow down. The AC3 file played back at regular speed. Needless to say the video finished far ahead of the audio. I went back and rendered out just a section and had the same problem. Checked all the speed adjustment (envelopes etc) and all were normal.

I was checking it by playuing back in my default player which is Media PLayer Classic and have never had a problem before. Tried playing it in VPlayer – same problem-. Then played it back ion WMP 11 and it played normal!!! I took the xxx.mpg and imported it to a Vegas timeline and it played normal. So it looks like the problem may be with the media players. i had recently updated WMP and it would appear that WMP may have corrupted the other media players on my system. Anyone else had this problem? Have not had time to make other tests.

How about authoring a first play DVD to see what it does.
If it plays back good then take the time to create menues etc.

I’m with you on thinking that the recent upgrade may be the
culprit. I would tend the think the problem is with the software player since Vegas plays it back correctly.

    Regards, Rick.
