  Video Preview Problem: MTS Files-Choppy

  Newbie here
  Have just opned Vegas and importing files
  When I import MTS/AVCHD file, the preview is very choppy. Playback is simply not smooth

  My computer is powerful enough to handle but . .

  Any idea/help?

  Define “powerful enough”.
  Even my quad core (with the preview window set to Preview/Auto) won’t consistently play an AVCHD clip at 29.97 fps.

  OK- Maybe I spoke to quick (i dont have quad core) but I assumed powerful enough. From what you are saying it seems that this is something I just have to deal with? Or can we do smthg about it?
