  vegas and FCP “uncompressed 8 bit” codec?

  Hello,
  I have not found in answers to this problem in the post, so here I go:

  Can Vegas (v.6 in my case) manage FinalCutPro “uncompressed 8 bit” codec?

  All it does in my case is to show the sound when in vegas. So I must be missing the specific codec that could help me work in this file but I’m not finding it. Even QuicktimePro (version 7.1 for PC) does see it.

  Can anybody help. Thanks

  At our shop we use DVCpro50 QT export in FCP with Vegas using the MainConcept DVCpro50 Codec to decode.

  The quality is excellent.

  You could download their trail demo to see if it would work for you.

  I’m sure others will share other methods.
