  • Tutorial on camera movement?

    Hey all,

I’ve been self- teaching myself after effects for a while, and while I am getting better, one thing I still don’t really understand is how the camera moves. I can’t seem to get it to look where I want it to look! For now, I have been parenting it to a null object, but I was wondering if there was a tutorial or anyone out there who could give me some tips so I can use all of the motion features of the camera.

    Thanks all!

I am sure you are probably familiar with Andrew Kramer’s tutorials, but most of them contain camera movements, some more advanced than others, but I would say it’s a nice starting point, it’s not everything you are looking for but just going through his tutorials will help you immensely in other areas of AE as well, I’m sure a large number of people can attest to that on this forum, so if you haven’t checked them out heres the link.

Adding to the last response, just download the incredible “sure target” preset from aforementioned andrew kramer. All your camera positioning woes are history.

wow I just watched the tutorial on Sure Target…WOW! That makes life easier. I can get my camera to point where I want it to, THEN manipulate the other properties. Thanks so much!
