  only part of mpg imports

  Hi all. I can’t find this anywhere in old posts. I have a very large mpg file that I need to import into AE CS3. It’s 4.5 gigs and is 2 hours 47 minutes long. When I import it – AE only imports roughly half of it. The movie file is 1 hour 18 minutes long in AE. Unfortunately all I want is 5 minutes at the end of the orignal file – but I can’t see it to trim it in AE. I’m sure it’s something simple but it’s got me baffled. HELP please????

  Dave – thanks for the info. 2 gig limit on windows!! Geesh I’m not sure how I can solve this then! There’s no audio and there’s no way to get the video source as something else. I’m stuck I guess.
