  cannot find the preview monitor display

  hi there
  i am a complete beginner and i have just started learning about making small films using sony vegas 5 and i am just finding my feet around the program so i apologise if i am asking a really simple question.

  i started doing some basics and watching the results in the preview monitor in the bottom right of the screen but then i must have clicked something wrong as the preview display disappeared and no amount of pressing alt4 will bring it back, even though it is ticked in the view menu i now cannot find it anywhere.

  can anyone let me know what i am doing wrong? please let me know if you need any more information

  Go to View/window layouts/default layout, should bring it back.

  It may be hidden under something else.
  Try changing your desktop to a higher than normal resolution to see if it shows up.
  If so, drag it to the desired location and resize back to normal.
