New here! New Job! Please Help!
First Id like to introduce myself, and say thanks for the abundant information Ive already acquired on this site by trolling. Its time to come out of the woodwork.
Anyway, I’d like to enlist the help on a new project Im involved in. Im up for a position as the in-house videographer/editor of http://www.streetfire.net. Im really excited about the job, and have been given a chance to show my chops on some freelance work. Now, I want to add a cool intro to the videos, something that represents the site well, grabs your attention, and has a cinematic feel. The truth is, Im really lucky to be considered for this position. I have only a few months experience editing and shooting with pro equipment. However, I do have an extensive background in audio, photography, and cars which is why Im even being considered.
So far, Ive got a sound effect of a hot rod burning out, fading to a smoke-filled screen with headlights shining through at you. The smoke was created in After Effects using a preset I downloaded, and the headlights were created in photoshop. Im having a hard time thinking of a cool way to transition to their logo, without doing anything to “cliche”
I figured the burn-out represented the expression “streetfire” pretty well and would be less cliche than perhaps, having the word fire actually burn or something. The truth is, Im not even sure I like the idea at all. Thats why Im here. I need help! Any ideas to make what I have better? Any completely different ideas? I really want to land this job, and I know it would be better if I did it on my own steam, but I should get at least some credit for having the wherewithal to get help from the best! 🙂
Sorry for the long post!! Thanks in advance!
