Selection and effects
Posted by Frenchie29 on August 5, 2007 at 10:55 pmHi I’d like to know how I can add some effects ie; blur motion or color correction to just one part of a footage , like you can do in Photoshop with the selection tool.
Is that possible in Vegas?Thank you.

August 6, 2007 at 1:47 amBy useing keyframes to start and stop the effect.
You will find the keyframes window at the bottom of the effect window after you have selected an effect.
Lookup keyframes in Vegas help for better understanding of them.
You might also do a search of the Vegas Archive, keyword “keyframes”.Regards, Rick.

August 6, 2007 at 4:20 amI need to isolate let’s say the left bottom corner of a segment, and manipulate it, how can I just select that portion of the frames.
the only way I can think of is to export all the frames import in photoshop, manipulate, do a batch processing then re-import in Vegas
But thisis time consuming. -

August 6, 2007 at 7:09 amMake a duplicate of the footage in a track above, then use masking (e.g. Bezier mask in the Pan/Crop tools) to define the area you want to change and let the rest of the image show through from the bottom of the two video tracks. You probably will want to feather the edge for a good blend.
