Using the free video convert, SUPER, I have converted a demo avi video to Flash and posted it on one of my web sites. Unfortunately, when the viewer goes to the page, the flash video starts up on its own. Does anyone know of a way to make the video start only after clicking on a start icon? And also, to make it stop?

By the way, SUPER has a lot of settings to tweak the conversion. The trick is to get good enough quality without making the viewer wait “too long.” I’m still tweaking that.

    Rick,

You have uploaded a flv file, which plays automatic. What you need is a jpg or gif photo with an associated “html” link to a swf file. When a viewer clicks on the jpg or gif then the html will start up the swf flash video. An example of this can be found on my website for the Ozzy Osbourne video. The program you use to make your flash video should have an option to make a swf and html for that swf.
