Ok, I finally managed to get Vegas to rendering agian by updating to 7.0e. Everything worked fine but almost immediatly I started receiving an error message anytime I attempt to import ANY file. MP3, WAV, or AVI. Sound or vido will not import without crashing the program. Here is the message:

Any idea what could be causing it? I know kernell32.dll is a lib. and isn’t supposed to be accessed by some programs but that is about as far as my knowledge goes on the matter. Any idea.

    Hi,

Sorry about I can’t really help, but just make things a bit more clear:
[Necopotence] “I know kernell32.dll is a lib. and isn’t supposed to be accessed by some programs”

Kernel32.dll includes many functions, file handling, memory management, etc, thus it is used by every windows program.
    So, Vegas uses it legally.
