  • How do I remove the black background from a timelapse flower?

I had purchased an art beats Grow timelapse package of flowers. They all have a black background. How do I get rid of it so i can use just the flower element? Use a track matte?

If they come with a separate matte file, then yes use those mattes as a track matte. Otherwise, us a luma key to get rid of the black.

Some of the clips may also need a little masking to keep some of the black elements of the flowers in.

    Cheers,
    Ben

    Hi Chris,

For this I use Color Key. Increase the tolerance, add a little edge thin, and a slight feather.

And, as Ben said, if the flower has black in it, you need to mask the inside part out.
