    Hello all,
I have osme video footage that is 16×9 streched and I want to letter box it for 4×3. I thought I used to do it but I can’t find where to actually drag the top part of the video down to make it letterboxed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have Vegas 7d.

Also while you are helping me is there a plugin or even a better way to do slow motion? I am ready to leave Vegas over the way to do it now. It is simple but the quality isn’t that great. To jittery. The audio sounds like an echo. The video is like a stobe motion opposed to actual slow motion.

    Thanks again!

I just dropped some 16:9 footage into a 4:3 project and it letterboxed automatically.
If this doesn’t do it for you, open the Pan/Crop window on the clip and drag any one of the corners out until you get what you want.

For bettter slo-mo, take a look at Veggie Toolkit.
Time Bandit is one of it’s many features and it’s supposedly better than what comes with Vegas. A trial version is available.

Ok I’m sorry I said the wrong thing. The footage I have is 16×9 anamorphic that I want to letter box. It is in the 4×3 squeeshed format right now. I am in the pan/crop mode right now. What options on the left have to be selected to get this to work? I belive I had this working in Vegas 5 but I can’t seeme to get it now. I have tried almost every option.
    Thanks

I just downloaded the trial and found no difference in the slow motion. Still souns and looks like it is stobed.

    Ok I got it now,
Dumb me I was dragging down like you do in Premiere not up. Weird to think by going up it shrinks it down. Either way I got it now.
    Thanks
