  • Imported PAL DVD to NTSC?

Posted by Allen Zagel on May 21, 2007 at 11:26 pm

I imported a PAL DVD a friend sent me from the UK. Import went fine but it’s PAL and not NTSC so the video isn’t too good.

My question is how can I convert this to a NTSC and re render to DVD again?
    Thanks

[Allen Zagel] “it’s PAL and not NTSC so the video isn’t too good.”

I’m not following your equation of PAL = not too good.

Anyway, you can just rerender as NTSC mpeg2, but keep in mind that this will compress it again.

Imported the VOB into Vegas 7. Since everything I have here is NTSC there’s a lot of what seems to be artifacting. Not pixelization thogh Gee, I don’t know how to explain it. I guess it’s being compresed down to NTSC on my monitor.
