Time and again my 3D shadows just disappear for unknown reasons, even with no precomposing/collapse transformations, is this a bug in AE?

As you can se on that image, my characters throw shadows on the other characters, but not the floor. In the active camera view they dont throw shadows on the floor, but in custom view they do, why?

I’ve checked that throw/accept shadows is turned on for the right layers, deleted my lights and created new ones and I’ve also tried creating a new solid as a “shadow receiver” but nothing works so far.

Anyway, this isn’t the first time this happens, so I’d be glad to get some help here 🙂

Yeah, it was the layer order that caused my shadows to disappear, I actually precomped the characters to get a reflection in the floor. In the end I had to put the reflections above the actual characters and then use an inverted matte from the characters to prevent the reflections from being above the characters, if that makes any sense 🙂

    Thanks
