Dis you render the mpeg2 as widescreen? Did you render in DVDA as a widescreen project? What are your DVD player settings? Is your TV 4:3, or widescreen?

Assuming that whatever you used to author the DVD was set to be a 16:9 project, then it’s probably a matter of checking the display settings in your DVD player menu.
