I have just started receiving this message today when I try to capture in Vegas 7c, Vegas 6d, movie maker and Blaze. (Was OK a few weeks ago. I suspect some other app. is hijacking my capture but I cant trace it.I’ve selected ‘Microsoft DV Camera and VCR’ in the video tab of the capture window. I recently purchased a Canopus ADVC 110 but I have disconnected it while trying to capture. I only mention this as its the only thing thats changed since I last captured. I’ve also checked the ‘Use external video capture’ in the video tab of preferences.(VidCap60.exe).60???.

Is the computer recognizing the camera? Do you get the tell-tale beep from Windows?

Yes it is and Yes I do.When Movie Maker tried to capture the whole tape it successfully rewound the tape in the camera but then wouldn’t capture so comp is finding camera OK. ‘Sony DV Camcorder’ is listed in Imaging Devices in Device Manager. Also just un/reinstalled Vegas 7. Same problem tho. I seriously think some other app. is hijacking the capture but I’ve been thro everything with no luck.(and I’m supposed to be doing an edit for transmission on New Years EVE!!!
