  Vegas for a friend

  I am an Avid guy who is trying to help out a young man with a Vegas suite.
  He has an Mpeg2 as a source that will play in the Preview window while still in the “source select” window but will not play from the timeline. Is a Mpeg2 supported in the timline for realtime playback? — I did render a section of the timeline & still didn’t have playback.

  Yes. Not sure why it would work in one place but not the other, though.

  With a slower machine and/or older versions of Vegas, Mpeg2 can be a painful experience.

  He has a dual core with Vegas 7.
