I’m trying to import clips from one movie into another one. I know this can’t be that hard – can anyone help?

Can you explain more what you are trying to do and what you’ve tried?

The actual clips were on two different camcorder tapes. I’m trying to incorporate these two tapes into one video. I have tried to import the media but it just overwrites the beginning of the other media.

I am new to this. The Manual is very hard to understand.
I’m probably not making much sense but I’m getting very frustrated.
I appreciate you responding so fast.

Can you drag the clip that is overlapped so that it is clear of the other?

Instead of putting it where I have the cursor it writes over my other clips.

I went back and tried to Import again and it worked.

    Thanks for your time.

I (almost) never use “Import”. I just drag straight to the timeline from the explorer window.
