I’m a real Vegas newbie (a convert) and I’d like to work with ‘transportable’ projects on external drives.

I’ve established how to set Vegas to capture and render all it’s relevant files to this project disk via the ‘capture’ and ‘files’ dialogues. What I can’t puzzle out is how to do the same for the XDcam media.

On my successful early XDcamHD tests (I was amazed how painless these were by the way!) I got everything working as it should – did a proxy edit, replaced the edited relevant proxies, by the replaced HD files, rendered a great looking wmv, and finally sent the edit back to the F350’s disk)

All I need to do now is get all that PC Xdcam stuff based on my Project file, rather than in the Windows ‘my movies’ folders where Vegas put it by defaut. There’s got to be a setting somewhere, any ideas please?

    Regards Alan
