    I need to import dvd into Vegas to edit, but somehow it wont. I use to succed, but not since I installed Vegas on a new computer.

    I have tried two things:

    1. When I try to import using DVD camcorder disc, it crashes saying:
    “An error occurd during the current operation. An exception has occured.”

    2. I just ‘open’ and choose the vts, but it will give me this message:
    “Warning: An error occurded while opening one or more files. The reason for the error could not be determined”

    //details
    File F:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.IFO could not be opened.
    File F:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.VOB could not be opened.

    I DO succed to open these files (but that’s only like 10 sec’s of intro –
    F:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
    F:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.VOB//

    It might be a question of missing codecs on my new computer? I did download almost hundred mb. of codecs, but maybe not the right ones (vfw…?)

    Unfortunately I do not have equipment to play from a dvd player via firewire to my computer…

    (I have a new Dell with 4 gb ram)
