A friend’s daughter recently got married. The still photographer botched the job and they have very few usable stills. However, the video is good. She is wondering if there’s a way to capture stills from the video and then printing them. Anybody know of a way to do this in Vegas or any other tool??? Thanks much!

    Put video on time line.
move cursor to frame you want while viewing the preview window on computer screen.
click the save icon at the top of the preview window.
bring your still jpg into photoshop and deinterlace it.
you can make prints, but they are low res, so keep them small.
you may just want to make a still photo video montage with them.

Set your Project Properties so Interlace is set to none (progressive). Set your preview to Best>Full. Hit the little floppy icon in the preview window to save.

Youcan do a whole bunch of them very quickly using Excalibur.

The “Best – Full” is important. It will assure you the highest resolution still. In Photoshop you can raise the resolution some. Go to “Image – Size.”
