  Vegas 6 HDV settings help and questions

  I just got a Sony HDR-HC3 and I’m not sure what setting Im supposed to use when setting up my project.

  Is it 1440 or 1920 HDV and is it square pixels or 1.333 ? Also what field order ?

  If I edit a video and I want to save it for later when HD-DVD or Blueray comes out what format should I save it as?

  Any help would great to get me started in HDV editing.

  You can always set properties by clicking on the folder (upper right) that sets the properties to the media. It probably is 1440 X 1080 and upper field first (at least my Z1 is that). Also, 1.333 is correct.
