  • gap – auto crossfades tool in excalibur – Audio also??

Hi, when i use the gap tool for selected events in a timeline for crossfades (overlap).. the video overlaps fine but I’m left with the audio hanging out of the end because it is not overlapping also… am I missing something…?

    Thanks!

Run the tool again with the audio events selected.

OR… you could just delete the audio and after running the gap tool then run the “Restore Missing A/V” tool to bring back the audio.

i TRIED DRAGGING THROUGH THEM ALL, SELECTING FRONT TO BACK… -ALL DIFFERENT METHODS OF SELECTING A GROUP, AUDIO STILL DOES NOT OVERLAP… SOLUTION…

SELECTED ALL THE AUDIO I WANTED AND THAT OVERLAPPED.. THEN DID THE SAME FOR VIDEO.. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED..

BUT… IS THIS NORMAL OR SHOULD I REINSTALL THE PROGRAM OR SOMETHING.. I DID GET AN ERROR AND A POPUP TO MAKE A NOTE OF THE CONDITIONS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT EARLIER IN THIS SESSION WITH THE GAP TOOL AND THEN CLOSED IT AND WENT BACK TO WORK.. PERHAPS THATS THE PROBLEM??? WHOOPS SORRY.. CAPS LOCK… NOT YELLING..

Getting an error is not normal. Typically I use that feature for photos (i.e. no audio). I will occasionally just delete the audio, move the video however I want, and then restore the audio. That way I don’t have to worry about them being out of sync.
