  Capturing Tape – Adusting Length

  Assume there is a simply answer to this. When capturing DV tape from firewire using Vegas to harddrive (NTFS filesystem), Vegas breaks the capture into many clips – can be as much as 22 clips for a 15min capture. Also size ranges from 45-150mb. Is there a way to set the capture length so that if I select say a 5min section to capture I get one big avi file. This helps in organization and resplicing.

  Go into Capture Prefs and turn off Scene Detection.
