I keep getting ghost frames across my cuts when printing a 24P-rendered AVI file to tape. The cuts in the AVI are rock solid. However, when printing, i’m essentially getting 1 frame dissolves across every cut. Anyone encountered this?

I shot 24P (not 24PA) on Panasonic;s DV100 camera, cut it in a 24P project, rendered out the AVI (NTSC DV 24P where it inserts pulldown 2-3-2-3) and print to tape.

How are you viewing the rendered output?

I’m viewing the rendered file within Vegas (I pulled it into my 24P timeline) — is that my mistake?

Regardless, it still prints to tape wrong even if i allow the timeline to pre-render itself prior to directly printing to tape…
