I am doing a photo montage and using pan and crop to add moves to each picture. I then make a preset of the particular moves to use on other photos. The trouble comes when I try to add the preset it adds one keyframe and it appears to only have retained the last keyframe of the preset. Can you tell me how to properly apply the preset?

As you’ve discovered, saving a preset in P/C doesn’t save keyframes.
Call this yet another bug in Vegas 🙁
The way to do it is to get event #1 the way you want and copy it.
Now right click event #2 and select “paste event attributes”.
Voila!! Everything you did to event #1 now happens to event #2.

Bob, scripting can help automate this process for you. You might want to take a look at the “Video Scrapbook” video at http://www.jetdv.com/excalibur to see how scripting can help automate the photo montage process.
