This may be stupid, but you just got the new computer and installed everything? Did you happen to defrag before you started rendering?

Sounds wierd but long ago I got many error messages on rendering and it took a while before I figured out to defrag before rendering any kind of decent project. After that it went smoothly. I think someone here at the cow mentioned that to me.

I agree it may be another cause especially since I don’t use V6. Still using V5d and it works like a charm.

As has been said before, this is not an AMD problem, the AMD works great with Vegas, I have an 64 X2 my self. There may be other problems though. Is this a brand new install? What motherboard? What video card? Which RAM?

I just found your August post in a search. I started getting the exact same dump while rendering with V6 a couple days ago, after I had multiple versions of Vegas open at the same time, rendering with two of them (one rendering mpg2 and one ac3 audio) while editing with a third. I think I broke something in my installation, and probably need to re-install. I was wondering how you ended up resolving your crash dumps.

    Thanks,
    Sean
