  Audio – Vegas 6 meters not working?

  Hi everyone,

  here’s a question for you:

  I have a wave file that has been mastered to -0.2dB (I did a peak search in Sound Foge). When I drop it in the timeline on Vegas 6, it gives me a peak on the meter of +3.0dB in some spots!

  I am using no plugins and all levels are at Unity, 0dB.

  Does anyone know what could be going on here? The meters seem to do this sometimes in Soundforge as well.
