how to set up vegas like u wont it.
i can move everything in the bottom around. i just need to know how to move the video and audio tracks around freely to. can anyone help

You can’t. You *can* determine whether they are on top or on bottom though. However, it takes changing one of the “hidden” preferences. If you do a search, it’s easy to find.

You said that you can tell it top or bottom. And said that it is a hidden preference. I searched help for hidden preferences, and didn’t find anything. I also checked preferences and didn’t see anything. Is it worded differently? I have been wondering how to do this also.

Ok, but be VERY careful when dealing with the hidden preferences:
Hold down the SHIFT key and choose Options – Preferences
Go to the now visible “Internal” tab.
In the “show only prefs containing” box, type “Dock”
Change that setting from “False” to “True”

As Ed said – they are hidden because they are risky to change if you don’t know what you are doing. You can make Vegas unusable if you aren’t careful.
