i captured a 60 minute dv tape using power director 5.0, and i put the captured clips in vegas 6.0 timeline but an error occur saying… an error occur while creating a proxy audio for the stream. The 15 minutes captured clips are ok but the succeding clips have lost their audio and i also notice that the audio in the track after the 15-minute good clips are somewhat has the repeated audio clip though its flat 0, i notice that it was repeated though you can hear nothing coz its really 0-flat. what is likely the problem with that?

I don’t know if this is related, but I recall having a problem with some dv .avi clips I captured in another software. I used that other software to convert the dv .avi clips from DV Type-1 to DV Type-2, then Vegas was able to generate the audio proxy files properly…

If your clips are currently DV Type-1, can you use Power Director to convert your clips to DV Type-2?
