  Vegas 6.0d – Pan/Crop Issue

  Hi all,

  Having an issue in Vegas 6.0d.

  I have a piece of timelapse footage that I’m trying to get creative with, to add a bit of zoom/motion to the video.

  What I’d like to do is go into pan/crop, decrease the size and position of the frame to the lower right hand corner. By presing ALT to bypass “size about center”, I want to drag the top left corner of the frame, to fill up the entirety of the source image. This should create a kind of expansion / zoom-out of the source footage.

  However, when I do this, the framing jumps off the source material and begins to resize itself immediately, moving the center position, leaving me with not what I was trying to do.

  Ideally, you’d be able to lock corners of the frame (?) to bypass this problem.

  Hopefully that’s enough information, if not, I’ll try to put it into better words. Anyone have ideas on how to remedy the above?

  To move your image (or portion of it) around the frame, use track motion controls.
