  How to import avi with audio in MPEG Layer-3?

  When I try to import an avi clip with audio in MPEG Layer-3, the video seems to import fine, but the audio line never creates the peak file, and it almost always crashes Vegas 6.

  Is there a way to import avi clips when the audio is in MP3?

  If it’s VBR MP3, you’ll need to convert it to WAV in some other program.
