  Best method of compression?

  A friend compiled a full tape video of a conference, which is rendering out as an MPEG-2 in Vegas at 5.7 GB (it is over 2 hours long). what is the best method to get that on ONE DVD (PAL DVD encoding, lower field first). Does it simply involve another compression level, or are there bigger size DVDs? This is the first project i have had that is this long. ANyone got any tips?

  Just render at a lower bitrate. But, yes, there are larger DVDs – they’re called dual layer DVDs but require a dual layer burner as well.
