  Vegas 6 quits while starting

  I installed Vegas 6.0, and it installed ok. When I try to boot (start) the program, it starts, then displays the message “scanning for audio plug ins” and then simply stops.

  Obviously, it doesn’t like some audio plug in I have. This workstation is also used for audio/video DAW purposed, and I have lots of audio plug ins which I need to have installed.

  Is there a way to start Vegas WITHOUT IT SCANNING AUDIO PLUG INS? I don’t need them for Vegas, but have to have them for the other DAW work.

  The free DXMAN tool from Analogx.com gives you some nice diagnostic tools to help find the culprit plug-in.
