I was just looking at the Pioneer Burners. What a big difference in price between models! $50 – $250!! Which kind should I buy? I don

the 100 & 610 are the same burner. they just come with different software… the 49 – 250 price difference is internal vs external & list price vs sale prices & different software …
you just plug em in and they work .. well maybe not with all software.
i have a pioneer 610 and it will NOT work with DVDa3 burning dual layer + disc and single layer + disc.. i have used nero7 to burn dual layer disc on it … -
