Greets; I have an avi clip on the timeline from which I need a static pic to use in another program for FX. The clip has a resolution of 556×414, square pixels. When using the “save snapshot to file”, setting on Best(full) the resolution of the pic is saved as 655×480, square. When placed against the timeline and scrubbed, there is no noticible change in resolution. When exporting and re-importing the size difference becomes apparent. How can I get the snapshot to be saved at the same rez as the avi clip? UJ

What’s the source of the AVI? Standard DV-AVI is 720×480 with a still size of 655×480.

The source avi started as 720×480 and was processed through an fx program and came out as 556×414 uncompressed avi. And unfortunately that is the size I need to match. It looks like I’ll redo everything in the fx program to keep things even. I thought the snapshot from clip would just copy whatever the property file rez said it was. UJ

It actually uses the PREVIEW size. That’s why you typically should change it to “Full” before taking the snapshot.
