  Another masking question….

  I looked through past posts and couldn’t really find what I was looking for…..what I have is this…
  A .png file of a 3D outline of a cube.
  I have a square letter that I want to look like it’s coming out of the cube,
  but I only want to see the letter when it crosses the top edge of the cube

  I’m not really sure the correct way to mask this…
  I copied the cube to 2 different tracks, created a bezier mask arount the total outline of the cube on track 1,
  kind of a diamond shape now…made the mask negative and then on rack 2 did the same thing with a positive
  mask, but when I place the letter on track 3 it still shows up inside if the box…I tried making track 2 a child
  track but no dice there either…can anybody steer me in the right direction?…..
