Activity Forums VEGAS Pro How does ‘resample’ work

I have placed a clip on the time line that I control-drag the end of to create a slow motion clip. I read somewhere that you get a better (smoother) result if you smart or force resample the clip so that Vegas will create intermediate frames or something like that (I think it is called interpolation). My event was in the middle of a long group of clips. I highlighted the clip right click -switches-force resample but I didn’t see any action take place.

Does this add some sort of flag so that when the clip is rendered it is ‘force resampled’? Does it cause the whole track to be resampled? The whole project? When does the resample take place?
    TIA

Since Vegas 5, resampling has been applied automatically to media that has speed changes applied. Here is more explanation, taken directly from the Help file:

    Resample:

Select a radio button to determine how video frames will be resampled when the frame rate of a media file is lower than the project
