  mpeg2 edit?

  Client has given us DVD containing mpeg2 files to edit.
  Finished product to be played in retail outlets to sell fitness equipment.
  Have dragged vob files to timeline.
  Vegas is running like a turtle,—in reverse. Unresponsive. Huge delays in command response.
  Is this what I should suspect or is there something wrong with my machine?
  Maybe I used the wrong method to get stuff on TL?

  I know I likely should not be editing mpeg2,—just want to see what it looks like before beginning labourious task of getting in touch with each TV outlet for mini DV dubs.

  Never mind.
  Solution is to import dvd same way as mini disc cam mpeg2.
  Image quality still marignal but at least Vegas functions more quickly.
