  typing effect

  does anyone know where to find a tutorial that shows how to make it look like someone is typing text onto the screen? – should i be using premiere of after effects?

  I like the text-presets:

  Animate In / Typewriter,
  Animate In / Fade Up characters

  and even better:

  Multi-line / Word processor

  can i do this in after affects 5.5?
  if so where do i find it?

  No,

  text animation presets are only in ae6 ae6.5?

  You can use the path-text effect though, it can emulate typewriters.
  It’s explained in the manual.
