I normally preview to an NTSC monitor using the S-Video out from my ACEDVio card. (I disconnect the Firewire cable from the ACEDVio card to do that because it won’t deliver a digital and an analog signal at the same time.)

For some reason I am not getting the preview image on my NTSC monitor. I check the little TV monitor icon above the small Vegas preview window but it doesn’t have the effect of transferring the signal to my NTSC monitor any more.

I must have checked or unchecked a box somewhere. Any ideas?

    TIA

Do you have a red “frame recompressed” message on the screen preview window? In Options – Preferences on the Preview Device tab, there is a “Recompress Edited Frames” checkbox. Make sure that is checked. Otherwise, there must be something else going on.

try exiting vegas. hook up and turn on deck/camera & monitor. re-enter vegas & click icon again.

OK…my silly error. I thought I had checked all the cables but there was a loose one in the back of the patch bay.

    Thanks for taking the time…
