Menu video buttons
I’m using Gary’s DVD2 training dvds. I’m making a menu using dvda2 after bringing my project out of vegas5. I’m trying to put the menu chapter buttons on the first page with video playing in them. As far as I got was just two buttons on the first page. The play video button and a selection chapter menu button that takes you to another page to choose the chapters. This worked properly but it’s not what i wanted. Where it all went wrong was ……after I got all the chapters set and saved on the 2nd page. Gary says in order to get them on the first page is to close out and start with a new project and then drag the project you were working on up under the menu1 in the project over view. When I did this it said something like it was a file that couldn’t be read, and wouldn’t let me place it there.. I know the file works because i played it in preview with the chapters and burned a few dvds with it. Any ideas why it’s not recognizing this project when i draged it into the project overview window?

I am not sure why your file is not being recognized.
You need not create a second page of buttons first, just drag your media into the project overview, right click and choose ‘inser secene selection menu’. Then just drag the ‘start-at-chapter’ buttons from there.
