  Poor MPEG 2 quality

  I have a photo slide show am rendering using the DVD NTSC template with the MainConcept MPEG2 CODEC.

  I am having some quality problems with quite a few video artifacts showing up in the pan/zooms across the photos. Specifically, bright sharp horizontal lines are showing a lot of aliasing.

  Can I do anything about these types of artifacts when rendering to MPEG2?

  Also, rendering in WM9 in the same resolution using the 3 Mbps template produced beautiful results.

  This is pretty normal when you have very fine lines in high resolution images. You can try to reduce it by rendering in BEST, using Reduce Interlace Flicker, and maybe add a slight blur.
