in the render settings change the “Time Span” to Length of comp.

oh this is to preview not for a final movie

it is limited but u can also lower the res..

is it because i don’t have enough ram or something…
running g5 2.7 with 2.5 ram

Maybe.
Try viewing your comp at 1/2 res, 50% magnification, previewing every other frame.
If that doesn’t work, try 1/4 res, 25% magnification.Select edit>purge>image caches between RAM previews.
